As of Christmas eve, Neil McCormick is no longer a resident of the Barge. He didn't graduate, but as far as I'm aware, he's okay. He's just...not here anymore. I believe he's returned home.

I'm sorry I couldn't give him the help he needed, but at heart, he's truly a good young man. I'm sure that wherever he is, things will work out for him. I believe he may have returned home in order to work out whatever he couldn't here.

I think...it may be time for a change.

[The hand hold is quickly replaced by a strong embrace.] Oh, Libby...to pursue a good life, aye? You return to happiness?

Angelica rests her head on her friend's shoulder, both terribly happy and incredibly sad at the news.]

Oh....[Angelica smiles and gently strokes Libby's hair.] Then this is not a sad parting, for we were good to each other.

Libby, dear, when I was still new to this place and all seemed so strange, you were an example of what I wished for myself and our sex. You are strong, opinionated, thoughtful woman who has the respect of her fellows. You helped me more than you may ever understand by just being yourself, and always uncompromisingly so.

[Libby looked at Angelica for a moment, lips pressed tightly together, before answering. It was a lot to take in and believe, for her.]

Thank you. I...I don't really know what to say. I'm glad I was able to do that much for you, after all the support and understanding you've given me.

[Angelica rolls her shoulders, though smiles still.] Say nothing then, madam. It has been wonderful to see what changes will come for women, and to be introduced to them by people such as yourself.
