It seems that certain food items are already in short supply. The question is, can everyone manage to just take what they need, or do we need someone in charge of food distribution?

If anyone wants to volunteer, that would be wonderful. I've apparently become barge psychologist (and possibly part-time EMT if I end up helping to draw blood), so I have my hands a little full with that. Besides, I've already had to deal with a situation like this back where I come from, and things got out of hand fast. I don't want to find myself having to talk anyone down from suicide here, alright?

((OOC: Libby is a bit of a hypocrite and has stashed a small amount of chocolate in her room.
...and a container of ranch dressing. If you don't get why, don't bother asking. It wouldn't make sense.))

Our food, too? That's not going to be a great combination with people having to donate blood for the vampires...

I can just live off the ramen in my room for a while, though. I've got about a week's supply of food there, but I think we'll need someone distributing the food.

I would, but I'm already busy distributing for the vampires.

I think I'm supposed to help you. I will agree to be in charge of the food rationing in exchange for also getting to be in charge of the beer.

They said someone else needs to ration the alcohol. But I can do food.

Thank you. I appreciate it, and I'm sure everyone else will too when we don't starve over the next few weeks.

So... do I have to sleep in the kitchen or something to make sure nobody filches anything?

And do I get a badge?

You ration the meals, and yes, your job is to make sure all the food is accounted for. You might be able to set up shifts with trustworthy people, or find your own method. I wouldn't suggest trying to live in the kitchen in order to do this.

I don't...have any badges...maybe you could ask the Admiral for one?

I can live in the kitchen. How much worse than my crappy trailer could it be? At least it'll be warm.

I think I will ask him.
